Effective Mon March 2st 2021 – If your freight is consigned to us for delivery then you will receive 3 days free grace period and then storage charges will accrue at a 15MIN/1.50 CWT based on greater of Actual Wt or DIM Wt rated at 200 DIM. Freight routed out through us will receive the same consideration.
If we are a ‘Hold & Notify’ for another Agent or an individual consignee then charges are 15MIN/1.50 CWT based on greater of Actual Wt or DIM Wt rated at 200 DIM.
These ‘Hold & Notify’ charges will begin at Noon of second day following Arrival and Notification. This facilitates two full morning opportunities for sweeps of our docks to occur. Agents will not be allowed to cherry-pick what they want, or leave any OS&D shipments. We neither have the time for them to do that, nor are we a holding area for their freight.
NOTES:
1) The pricing is per day and applies solely to Domestic freight, and for periods shorter than two weeks where after the greater of published pricing or pre-agreed quote will apply.
2) If a different storage pricing agreement has been previously agreed with Special Service for specific shipments then this must be evidenced in writing.

Although costs continue to increase exponentially we have maintained our ‘weight rate tariffs’ at current pricing, almost without exception. This will be the third year without passing on rising costs to our customers. Some Accessorials have had to be changed, mostly due to direct labor cost increases directly associated with providing these specific extra requirements. BNA permanently closed due to Agent/Owner Health concerns as of Friday 27th Nov 2020. Special Service regrets this unforeseen and unavoidable occurrence but is unlikely to reopen this location.
